Banhus

a digital paint of a pen-and-pencil doodle, to warm up and chill out between comic anthology work. i listened to a lot of imogen heap for this one, haha.

banhus was raised a berry farmer (his family makes wine) and is considered the most prettiest beetlebutt in town until he’s either cursed or gifted with the ability to take a human form. too bad beetles think humans are generally feeble and icky. he got his good looks from his mom; she has the same gold veins on her exoskeleton.

unless he's human-shaped, banhoose sounds like he’s speaking though a vocoder set to “giant bee”. also the biggest baby when stubbing his toe as a human. humans have no armour how have they survived this long
