It Came From The Bath Tub

(another feeble attempt to get into the whole Simon's Bestiary series, which for some reason never got off the ground )

although this isn't what i wanted to paint, it ended up pretty darned creepy, which is lovely~ and yes, it did come from the bath tub. suddenly it just fills up with blackened water and this... thing... pulls itself out, crawls across the floor, and manages somehow to get into the hallway through the locked door. i hadn't enough patience to draw the thing crawling from the bath tub... yet. *evil smirking*

it drools all this black gunk everywhere, and the gunk seems to actually be seeping from its skin; whatever it touches becomes damp and thoroughly stained. its eyes are dark and blank. it has no smell, and makes no sound other than its openmouthed breathing. aside from looking altogether rather icky, however, this particular thing doesn't pose much of a threat to anyone. it just... walks. very slowly.

this has lots to do with the infamous yet-to-be-posted sequel to "the other me". it shall be filled with creatures fondly nicknamed the things by the likes of christine and november. november's actually pretty used to seeing the things now; christine just about dies every time they show up. what's their modus operandum? not sure yet. but it has lots (lots) to do with simon. oh, simon. quit being the catalyst, darn you D:

and yes, the thing was meant to look alarmingly like simon. ohhohoHO :B

november, simon, christine and the things are belonging to me. you steal, and people will think you're nuts. i scare my roommate with this stuff.
