soooooo here he is, looking altogether FAR too handsome for a guy who's been asleep for the past six hundred years. and THAT is what happens to your hair after a nap like that. mmhm.

although i'm not sure about the logistics of this picture, simply for the fact that as soon as he wakes up he vanishes from the temple/tomb he was being kept in and winds up in a STRANGE, DISTANT LAND (ie. downtown new york or something similar). he 's never in there while he's conscious, really. ...maybe he goes back whenever he falls asleep. proper sleep, mind you, not more hibernation.

he was given the mummy-wrappings couture a couple years after he fell asleep, when his fellow palace-dwellers figured he might not be waking up anytime soon besidesthere'sahugewarlooming. so they moved him from the palace to the tomb, where he kept on sleeping-- two generations of guards came and went before they just gave up and sealed the place up. and so it went.
